So far, many details have been leaked from the Samsung Galaxy Note 20 , but today’s is related to one of the accessories that will be available when the device goes on sale in the coming weeks: cases with antimicrobial coating . With the current pandemic situation, Samsung wants our new Galaxy Note 20 Ultra to be free of microbes, not necessarily the COVID-19, although it is clear that it could help if the user also collaborates.
The Roland Quandt filter has shown on social networks the existence of Smart Clear View Cover cases for the Galaxy Note 20 Ultra model, although presumably they would also be available for the rest of the versions of the device. These covers are filtered in different colors, be it black, bronze and white, the same colors in which the device will be offered when it is presented in a few days.
A few weeks ago, Samsung had filed a patent for “antimicrobial coated cases and covers”, and it appears that this is an invention that the company had been working on for quite some time. Thanks to these covers, we will make our devices germ free and it will also fight to fight COVID-19.

It is not that it is a new invention because there are already such coatings on the market, and they have proven to be effective in combating the presence of viral particles and germs on surfaces. Various investigations have shown that our mobile phones are full of germs, and thanks to these types of covers we will make them much cleaner, reducing the risk of any type of contagion.
In any case, these types of surfaces with antimicrobial coating are not 100% efficient, and the user with adequate hygiene and common sense is the main weapon to avoid any contagion. In fact, research from the University of Arizona has indicated that the antimicrobial coating can keep the surface free of germs and other viruses for up to 90 days, making them casings that will expire in time.
