Xiaomi is going to launch its own Chromecast: Mi TV Stick

Xiaomi will introduce a new device just like Google Chromecast and it will be called Mi TV Stick. The new streaming device will hit the market ready to compete with Chromecast and Amazon Fire TV Stick.

The first images show a simple and elegant design. Release date and price are unknown, although an imminent appearance is taken for granted.

If there is a device in homes that has convinced users for its reliability and comfort, that is the streaming media player. Being able to access content from platforms, mobile images or play on an old television without having to change it or spend too much money is something that is appreciated, even more so when it is usually easy to install and configure, and now Xiaomi is going to launch its own.

Can Mi TV Stick compete with Google Chromecast or Amazon Fire TV Stick?

Mi TV Stick will be called the Xiaomi device that will arrive to directly compete with the successful Chromecast and Amazon Fire TV Stick. After many rumors about its launch, the first images from the new device has arrived.

As you can see in the images, the design is simple and at the moment its use is identified. Both the stick and the remote control will arrive without wanting to risk and with a bet for the minimum, in addition to elegant and discreet black color.

Like its predecessors, the Mi TV Stick will connect to the TV via the HDMI port and is expected to include Android TV, just like the brand’s TVs. As for its hardware, it is expected to be similar to Mi Box S, with an Amlogic S905 quad-core ARM Cortex A53 processor, Mali-G31 GPU, 2GB of RAM and 8GB of internal storage, expandable through microSD.

Most likely, it also has the Google Assistant to facilitate its use as much as possible and has  support for 4K HDR and Dolby DTS.

Xiaomi Mi TV Stick release date

The launch date is unknown , although everything indicates that it will not take too long to appear in China, and the same is true of the price , which is also unknown, although knowing the manufacturer, it is betting because it is less than the competition with the idea to revolutionize these devices with your own offering.
