In this article we will show you how to update your Samsung Galaxy Watch smartwatch software. You can update the device easily by following the steps we provide below.
Samsung announced the Samsung Galaxy Watch on 9 August 2018 and in the same year it started selling in 16 countries.
Until this article, Samsung released a total of 2 Galaxy Watch models, SM-R805 and SM-R815 and two sports models Galaxy Watch Active with the code SM-R500 and Galaxy Watch Active2 (SM-R820).
You can update the Samsung Galaxy Watch software from a smartphone running Android or iOS operating system.
How to update Galaxy Watch from an Android phone?
– Run Samsung’s Galaxy Wearable app from your phone.
– Tap Home tab on the bottom left side of the screen.
– Now tap About Galaxy Watch.
– If you see Latest version installed, you don’t need to update as you have the final version on your Samsung Galaxy Watch.
– If you see a software update, you can tap Update Watch software.
– To start updating tap Update now.
– You can also turn on or off automatic updates just next to Auto Update.
– An Update Gear software screen will appear, tap Install.
– A confirm prompt will appear and tap OK.
The update will start now and take a couple of minutes to complete.
How to update Galaxy Watch from iPhone?
– Run Samsung Galaxy Watch app on your iPhone.
– Go to the Home tab and tap About Galaxy Wearable.
– If there is an update available, tap Install.
And the update will start and take several minutes.
