Samsung ups the ante with curved Odyssey gaming monitors

The new range of Samsung Odyssey monitors includes two models for gamers – Odyssey G9 and G7. The first is available with a screen size of 49 inches, the second – 32 and 27 inches. The screens on all models have an extremely deep curvature – 1000R. The monitors are certified “Eye Comfort” by TÜV Rheinland.

The G9’s pixel response time is 1 ms, while the image is refreshed at a frequency of 240 Hz. The monitors are compatible with Nvidia G-SYNC and Adaptive Sync technologies through the DisplayPort 1.4 connection.

Odyssey G9 is the first Dual Quad High Definition (5120×1440 pixels) monitor in the world with 32:9 aspect ratio. The peak brightness reaches 1000 cd/m2. It is equipped with a HDR1000 CA panel, which helps to obtain realistic colors with vivid characteristics. The monitor is available in white.

Samsung introduced curved Odyssey monitors for gaming

Odyssey G7  supports QHD resolution (2560×1440 pixels), has a 16:9 aspect ratio and HDR600 VA panel with a maximum brightness of 600 cd/m2 and G7 will have a black casing.

Samsung Electronics didn’t provide pricing information for the Odyssey monitors.
